The legal framework that governs your use of IT-4You VPS hosting services.
Terms of Service
Service description
IT-4You provides Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting based on KVM virtualization, served from Sweden and additional European/regional locations listed on the order page. Each VPS receives a dedicated IPv4 address and the resources specified by the chosen plan.
Automatic delivery
After successful payment, your VPS is provisioned automatically and login credentials are delivered to the email address you provided at order time, normally within 30 seconds.
Account & accuracy of information
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for providing accurate registration information. We may suspend or terminate accounts using false information or attempting to bypass identity verification.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use IT-4You services for: spam or unsolicited bulk email; phishing; distribution of malware; attacks on third parties (port scanning, DDoS, brute-forcing); operating open relays or proxies that facilitate abuse; content that is illegal under Swedish or EU law including child sexual abuse material, terrorism content, and copyright infringement. We may suspend service immediately when abuse is detected.
Subscription & renewal
VPS plans are billed on the cycle you choose (monthly, 3-month, 6-month, annual, or multi-year). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; no proration is offered for unused time.
Service availability
We target 99.9% uptime measured per calendar month, excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure. Outages caused by upstream network providers or shared-facility issues are outside our direct control.
Resource limits
Each plan specifies CPU, RAM, storage and monthly bandwidth allowances. Sustained CPU saturation that materially affects neighbouring tenants may result in throttling. Bandwidth overage triggers a soft throttle until the next billing cycle.
Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate service for non-payment after a 7-day grace period, violation of the Acceptable Use policy, or by direction of law-enforcement authorities. Data on terminated VPS instances is retained for up to 14 days before secure deletion.
Modifications
We may revise these terms with at least 14 days notice via email to the address on file. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes will be heard in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.
Refund Policy
7-day money-back guarantee
New customers may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of their initial VPS order, with no questions asked. Refunds are processed via the original payment method.
How to request
Contact support at info@it-4you.com from the email address on the account, or via the in-panel ticket system. Include your order number. Refunds are normally processed within 5 business days; bank settlement may add additional time.
After 7 days
Beyond the 7-day window we do not offer prorated refunds. You may still cancel auto-renewal at any time to prevent the next charge.
Exclusions
Refunds are not available for services used in violation of the Acceptable Use policy; one-time-payment plans where the service has been fully delivered; or add-on services that have been activated.
Manual payments (Sham Cash etc.)
For payments made via Sham Cash or other manually-confirmed channels, refunds follow the same 7-day window and are returned through the same channel where possible.
Privacy Policy
Data controller
IT-4You operates as data controller for personal data collected through this site. For privacy enquiries, contact info@it-4you.com.
Data we collect
When you register or order, we collect: name, email address, billing address and, for some payment methods, country and tax identifier. Payment card details are never stored on our systems — they are transmitted directly to Stripe, our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. We log operational data including the IP of orders and the IP that accesses your VPS root for abuse-investigation purposes.
GDPR rights
If you are an EU/EEA resident, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data. Most actions can be initiated from your customer panel; for the rest, email us. We respond within 30 days.
Legal basis
We process data on the basis of contractual necessity (delivering the service you ordered), legal obligation (tax records, abuse reporting), and legitimate interest (security monitoring, fraud prevention).
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for session management and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. The marketing site uses self-hosted analytics (Matomo) that respects Do-Not-Track headers.
Sharing with third parties
We share data only where strictly required: Stripe for payment processing; upstream hosting providers (Hetzner Cloud, Yotta) for the VPS infrastructure; regulatory authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal data.
Data retention
Account information is retained while your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for accounting and tax purposes, after which it is securely deleted. Server access logs are retained for 30 days for security; abuse-related logs may be retained longer.
International transfers
Data is processed within the EU. Some support communications may transit through global email infrastructure but we do not deliberately export personal data outside the EEA.
Security
We use TLS 1.2+ on all customer-facing endpoints, hashed passwords (bcrypt/argon2), HMAC-signed internal RPCs, and 2FA on administrative access. We notify affected users without undue delay in the event of a personal-data breach, as required by the GDPR.
